Hawk V‑Plus Anamorphics: New Additional Primes

The new Hawk V-Plus Anamorphics are the consequent development of the established Hawk V-Series, which had been launched in the year 2000 and used in numerous feature films and commercials with great success.

The following aspects make the new lens series stand out:

  • New additional primes:
Hawk V‑Plus 65mm/T3 Super Close Focus
    Hawk V‑Plus 85mm/T2.2
    Hawk V‑Plus 150mm/T3

The Hawk V‑Plus range consists of 14 prime lenses (30, 35, 40, 50, 60, 65, 75, 85, 100, 120, 135, 150, 180 and 250/350mm) and two zooms (46-230 and 300-900mm).Three additional focal lengths will be available for the first time within the Hawk set – the Hawk 65mm as an associate to the Hawk 120mm/T3.5 Super Close Focus, the Hawk 85mm with a close focus of 0.6 m/2' filling the gap between the popular Hawk 75mm and the Hawk 100mm lenses. The new medium telephoto lens Hawk 150mm has a close focus of 1m/3'3". Later the set will be extended by two new super wide angle primes and two extreme telephoto lenses which are in the calculation process at the moment.

  • Improved optics – Although the current Hawk lenses already show an exceptional good performance further improvements have been reached. The center of efforts was the capability to handle extreme high contrasts. The manufacturing process of the optical components has been further optimized in several aspects. The new lens set is fully matched to all other Hawk Anamorphics.

  • Analog & Digital – Vantage uses tele-centric designs for all Hawk V‑Plus optics. These lenses perform equally on film and digital cameras.
