A great success for "The Lives of Others": at the 79th Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles, the German contribution has been honored by the OSCAR ( A.M.P.A.S ) for best foreign language film.
"The Lives of Others" is the 16th nomination for Germany and the third award after "Nowhere in Africa" (2002) and "The Tin Drum" (1979).
Also nominated for best foreign language film: After the Wedding (Denmark), Pan's Labyrinth (Mexico), Water (Canada), Days of Glory (Indigenes) (Algeria).
