DoP Busso von Müller uses Hawk V‑Series Anamorphics for "3 Grad kälter"

The German feature film "3 Grad kälter" has been honored by the Silver Leopard for best debut film at the 58th Festival internazionale del film in Locarno in August 2005.

3 Grad kälter

"3 Grad kälter" is it at a railroad line, where the destiny of the protagonists is being guided into new grounds again and again.

"3 Grad kälter" is the story of three couples who have to decide between breaking out of ordinariness or keeping their secure livelihood. In the center of attention are Marie and Frank. Mary is happily married to Frank, but remembers Jan, her old love, who vanished from her life unexpectedly five years ago. She writes a letter to him, but like in all these past years she cannot find the right words and so she carelessly throws the letter away.

When Frank discovers the letter the next day, he is deeply moved by Marie's confession that she still loves Jan and he decides to send him the letter without Marie's knowledge. When Jan suddenly returns without warning, Frank and Marie are not the only ones confronted with a challenging period in their relationship. Everyone in this circle of friends is in some way forced to contemplate the question what is more important: to love or to be loved.
