Vast Inventory of Hawk and Vantage Motion Picture Lenses for North America
LOS ANGELES – February 12, 2018 – Peter Martin and Wolfgang Baumler, known in the cinematography world as “the Hawk guys,” have announced the creation of a new operation in Los Angeles where Hawk Anamorphic lenses and all other Hawk and Vantage products can be rented and serviced. A dedicated building in Los Angeles, staffed with experienced and knowledgeable personnel, will also house a studio and sophisticated testing and service facilities.
“After 25 years of success and growth around the world, we are thrilled to establish a bricks-and-mortar presence in Los Angeles,” says Peter Martin. “Our goal is to facilitate the availability of our lenses throughout North America, whether renting directly to productions or by supporting our rental house partners. As you would expect, Hawk Anamorphic Los Angeles will be carefully conceived and perfectly organized, with the needs of our customers always at the heart of our planning.”
Hawk’s significant $20 million+ investment represents a serious, long-term commitment to the North American market. Wolfgang Baumler emphasizes that Hawk Anamorphic Los Angeles will strengthen longstanding relationships with rental houses, rather than compete with them.
“We envision the facility as a way of supporting our respected colleagues in the rental sector with local service and inventory, which will be greatly expanded,” he says.
