Golden Palm at Vantage Studio in Paris

Cannes is upon us, and the atmosphere at Vantage Paris is electric. The well-equipped and spacious Vantage Paris Studio provided the perfect location for Alexis Veller, Director and Sebastian Gonon, Cinematographer as they put the finishing touches on a documentary commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Palme D’Or. Furthermore, Vantage Paris provided an extensive camera package for the close up shots of this prestigious award, ensuring the best possible service, venue, and equipment for the crew. The Vantage Team was delighted to be involved in the creation of this project and contribute in the documenting of this historical moment in cinema, but this is not the only reason to celebrate at Vantage.

The Sea of Trees, a film about a suicidal American and a lost Japanese man in a forest near Mount Fuji who work together to find a way out, has just become an Official Selection for the 68th Cannes Film Festival. Director Gus Van Sant and Cinematographer Kaspar Tuxen shot the film using Hawk V‑Lite Vintage’74 anamorphic lenses. This time around Cannes will be even more thrilling than usual for Vantage.
