Fear the Walking Dead Breaks Ratings Records

Spectacular Results with HAWK V-Lite Vintage’74 Anamorphics

Fear the Walking Dead smashed two long-standing records this year. First, the season premiere shattered the record for number of viewers with 10.1 million. Second, the show became the highest Nielson-rated first season in cable history with an average of 11.2 million viewers tuning in to six episodes, an amazing accomplishment for a spin off.

Created by Robert Kirkman and Dave Erickson, the series was beautifully lensed by Michael McDonough, ASC, BSC using Vantage’s HAWK V‑Lite Vintage’74 anamorphics. A complete set of primes (28 – 140 mm) plus both 45-90 mm and 80-180 mm front anamorphic zooms were on the show. The production was equipped by Panavision Canada, with filming in British Columbia and California.
