Moonlight Wins Three Oscars

Cinematographer James Laxton Chooses Hawks

We would like to congratulate Director Barry Jenkins and Cinematographer James Laxton on their outstanding success with the film Moonlight and are proud that they chose to shoot with Hawk V‑Lite 2x anamorphic lenses. The small 1.5 million-dollar production won the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, and Best Adapted Screenplay and was nominated for another five Oscars, including Best Cinematography.

In addition, Moonlight has been nominated for many other prestigious awards such as, the Golden Globes, the BAFTA Awards, the DGA Awards, and the American Society of Cinematographers Awards.
