New Vantage products set the benchmark for the business
The stand of Vantage Film was one of the central pivots of the Cinec 2004, the 5th International Trade Fair for Motion Picture Technology,
Postproduction and Event Engineering in Munich (September 18th to 21st, 2004).
With its inviting design the stand was heavily frequented all three days. Vantage's latest product developments and generous catering stimulated
the atmosphere and attracted lots of international visitors. Hands-on demonstrations of Vantage Film's technology innovations and rental
equipment generated broad interest in the available products and services.
Cinec Award 2004 for Hawk® 10-24mm/T2.5 Zoom Lens
A special highlight was the bestowal of the Cinec Award 2004, awarded by the Bavarian Society for Advancement of Film Technology,
to Vantage Film for its Hawk® 10-24mm/T2.5 Zoom Lens in the category camera technology. The new Hawk® offers an extremely high image quality
and compares in speed, weight and size to currently available fixed focal length lenses.
The new Super-Close-Focus-System developed by Vantage and for the first time used in the Hawk® 10-24mm/T2.5 zoom lens guarantees close-up
focusing right to the front element - in other words: considerably closer focusing than all other primes available within this range.
This leads to dramatic differences in image size and allows for more creative freedom.
The price was presented by jury member Prof. Peter C. Slansky, HFF Munich and handed over by jury member Hans Hansson, Sweden during
a ceremony held in the Munich Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK).
For Vantage Film the Cinec Award 2004 underscores the company's continuous striving for excellence in product design. This year's prize
is the 3rd Cinec Award in row that went to Vantage Film. At the last Cinec trade fairs in the years 2000 and 2002 Vantage Film already
received a Cinec Award for its Hawk® V-Series Anamorphics and the Hawk® 150-450mm/T2.8 Telephoto Zoom Lens as well as for the
Vantage PSU-1 Digital Video Combo.
